Description
Once-celebrated champions of Spiral City, Abraham Slam, Golden Gail, Colonel Weird, Madame Dragonfly, and Barbalien have vanished from the world after a catastrophic multiversal event. Now stranded in a seemingly peaceful rural community, they struggle to understand their confinement and find a way back to the lives—and identities—they left behind. As unsettling clues emerge and an enigmatic visitor rekindles the possibility of action, the former heroes must confront the costs of their past and the meaning of heroism beyond the spotlight. Blending classic superhero mythology with mystery, melancholy, and richly human character work, this opening volume introduces Jeff Lemire’s acclaimed, genre-bending saga.
