Description
In the shadowed hours before World War II, Nick Carraway—paper soldier, novelist, and master of pretending—finds that his carefully managed past is no longer his alone. As New York’s glittering surface turns uncanny, he realizes someone has been watching his performance of forgetting, and that memory moves in both directions. When a familiar presence returns from the dark, the line between the living and the dead blurs into a charged, queer reinvention of the jazz-age myth. Blending lyrical magic with psychological reckoning, this standalone companion novella explores identity, desire, and the haunting power of stories we try to bury.
