Description
When Darla Pettistone inherits her great-aunt’s beloved independent bookstore, she is determined to make her mark—despite sharing the shop with Hamlet, a remarkably clever cat who seems to consider himself the true proprietor. Her first major event, a signing with a wildly popular bestselling author, promises to put Pettistone’s Fine Books on the map until tragedy strikes in the middle of the crowd. Although the death is dismissed as an accident, Hamlet uncovers a suspicious clue that draws Darla into a dangerous investigation. Blending cozy-mystery intrigue, bookstore charm, and feline sleuthing, this witty tale explores ambition, legacy, and the secrets hidden among the shelves.
