Description
In Brandon Taylor's latest novel, a young gay Black artist navigates the complexities of creativity, identity, and connection in post-Covid New York. While working as a gallery assistant and art restorer, he discovers the lithographs of Dell Woods, a "minor Black figure" whose work sparks a profound exploration of artistic legacy and personal voice. This compelling narrative weaves together themes of friendship, burgeoning romance, and the intersection of art, politics, and LGBTQI experiences. Taylor crafts an intimate portrait of an artist grappling with his place in the world and the enduring power of hidden histories.
