Description
In 1970s Mexico City, Maite—an underpaid secretary with a talent for daydreams—finds her life unraveling as she searches for Leonora, a missing woman whose absence pulls her into a dangerous web of politics, art, and secrets. When a lonesome enforcer named Elvis is tasked with investigating the same disappearance, their separate pursuits collide, drawing them toward Asterisk, a left-wing art organization, and the people orbiting Leonora’s last known trail. As photographs, coded connections, and shifting loyalties come to light, Maite and Elvis must navigate a city where every clue has a cost and every promise may be a trap. Blending historical atmosphere with razor-edged suspense, this noir explores longing, complicity, and the fragile line between survival and truth in a world determined to keep its mysteries buried.
