Description
Twelve years after making a pact to leave his wife following her affair, Tom finds himself driving west, his children grown and his promise resurfacing. This journey becomes a poignant exploration of memory, regret, and the unexpected turns life takes, as he reconnects with friends, family, and a past love. Yet, Tom carries his own hidden burdens, including professional struggles and health concerns, revealing that escaping one's life can be the most challenging endeavor of all. Benjamin Markovits crafts a deeply human and moving narrative that delves into the complexities of long-term relationships and the quiet, often devastating, truths we carry.
