Description
In a fantastical Seoul where assassination guilds operate like corporations, a young hitman named Reseng navigates the cutthroat world of contract killing. Raised in a clandestine library known as the Doghouse, Reseng is a skilled operative, but he finds himself questioning the grim realities of his profession. As the industry grapples with modernization and the erosion of old traditions, Reseng must confront his own place within this shadowy underworld. Un-su Kim crafts a darkly humorous and thought-provoking narrative that explores themes of existentialism, the nature of violence, and the search for meaning in a world built on plots and schemes.
