Description

Amy is reeling from her father's death and facing a future she never imagined. To honor his memory and her family's wishes, she embarks on a cross-country road trip from California to Connecticut, a journey meticulously planned to be efficient and uneventful. However, with her mother and brother preoccupied with their own grief, Amy finds herself accompanied by Roger, her father's former student, and their carefully mapped route quickly unravels into a series of unexpected detours. As they navigate the open road, encountering quirky roadside attractions and forging an unlikely bond, Amy is forced to confront the grief, guilt, and fear that have been holding her captive, discovering that sometimes the most important destinations are the ones you never planned to reach.
