Description

Former army officer Barnes Kilrone roams the unsettled American West, until the discovery of a massacred cavalry troop compels him to race toward the nearest military post with a vital warning. His journey brings him into conflict with Major Frank Paddock, a former comrade-in-arms and rival who once loved the same woman during their youthful days in Paris. As tensions rise between soldiers, settlers, and Bannock warriors, the two men must confront old loyalties, bitter rivalries, and the harsh demands of honor. A classic Western of action, exile, and redemption, the novel showcases a vivid frontier setting and a compelling struggle between duty and personal history.
