Description
In the aftermath of Sabrina’s disappearance and the emergence of a disturbing viral recording, her grieving boyfriend, Teddy, retreats to Colorado to stay with his estranged childhood friend Calvin, an Air Force cybersecurity specialist. As the two men struggle to process the tragedy, Teddy is drawn toward online conspiracies and inflammatory media that offer distorted explanations for an unbearable reality, while Sabrina’s sister waits in a state of suspended grief. Rendered in Nick Drnaso’s stark, meticulously controlled visual style, this haunting graphic novel examines loneliness, mediated violence, grief, and the corrosive power of misinformation in contemporary America. Both intimate and politically charged, it is an unsettling portrait of a society searching for meaning through screens rather than human connection.
