Description

In the bustling, postcolonial landscape of Nairobi, two educated young men, Meja and Maina, find their aspirations crushed by the harsh realities of urban poverty. Armed with school certificates but lacking opportunity, they embark on a desperate journey through the city's underbelly, their hopes dwindling with each failed attempt to find meaningful work. From scavenging for scraps to falling into a life of crime and imprisonment, their story is a stark portrayal of the chasm between the promise of education and the brutal truth of survival in a city that has little to offer.
