Nine Goblins

Description

In a world where propaganda paints goblins as mindless monsters, a troop of nine—led by goblin sergeant Nessilka—gets the chance to prove the story wrong. When a confrontation with an evil wizard thrusts them deep behind enemy lines, they must navigate a gauntlet of elves, trolls, and other dangers while keeping their ragtag band from falling apart. Equal parts low fantasy and high mischief, this novella turns the usual “monster” narrative on its head, exploring what courage, loyalty, and survival look like when you’re underestimated at every turn. With T. Kingfisher’s sharp wit and knack for character-driven mayhem, Nine Goblins delivers a fast, funny, and unexpectedly heartfelt adventure—where the scariest creature might be a human being.
