Description
In a world where power is woven as carefully as fabric, a woman drawn into the orbit of a dangerous court must navigate secrets, surveillance, and the fragile bargains that keep her alive. As alliances shift and every kindness carries a cost, she uncovers the hidden machinery behind the silk—an intricate system of control that reaches into her past and threatens her future. Blending suspense with intimate character stakes, this story explores themes of autonomy, coercion, and the ways identity can be reshaped by those who hold the threads. With Foxglove’s lyrical, atmospheric storytelling and sharp emotional focus, the novel delivers a tense, page-turning journey through intrigue and resistance—without ever letting the reader forget what freedom truly costs.

really unfathomable how bad this book was. the plot was shaky at best, the sex was boring, and the frequent sexual assault that went unmentioned as if it was consented foreplay was batshit. we need to be so clear that there was no consent given for any time she was stripped naked in public, put in a leg spreader, drugged, forced into bondage, or had her pubes inexplicably trimmed cause his clumsy ass can’t find her clit otherwise. not only was she never told about anything done to her in advance, she had no right to say no. so it’s all assault. and he wasn’t even well written enough enough to make up for the bullshit she went through.
