Description
In Miranda July's first novel in nearly a decade, a semifamous artist finds herself at a crucial turning point, grappling with the perceived deflation of her marriage and motherhood against the fierce urgency of her creative spirit. Feeling her age and the constraints of her life, she embarks on an unexpected journey, deciding to drive cross-country but stopping just a short distance from home. This pause allows her to reflect on her desires and the life she's living, leading to a series of surprising actions and revelations. The novel is an irreverently sexy, tender, and hilarious exploration of a woman upending her life, delving into themes of marriage, motherhood, menopause, and the pursuit of personal freedom.
