Description
When Sheila Garber fails to return home from her evening business class, her husband Glen's worst nightmare becomes reality—she's been killed in a car accident, and the police claim she was responsible. Devastated and disbelieving, Glen begins to investigate, only to discover that his wife's death is far more sinister than a simple traffic tragedy. As he peels back the layers of his seemingly peaceful Connecticut suburb, Glen uncovers a web of corruption, illegal activity, and dangerous secrets that someone wanted to keep hidden. Propelled into a vortex of violence and pursued by mysterious killers, Glen must transform himself into something darker and more ruthless than he ever imagined to protect his daughter and uncover the truth. Linwood Barclay's gripping thriller explores how far an ordinary man will go when everything he loves is threatened, and what he's willing to become in the process.
