Description
When a lonely white snake saves a sparrow from a deadly stampede, a bond begins that challenges everything the sparrow thought he knew about predators. As Komazu and Shirato grow closer—first through cautious friendship and then through an intimate, emotionally charged courtship—they must confront the fear, instinct, and social boundaries that separate their species. Blending romance with themes of prejudice, trust, and the possibility of love beyond “natural” rules, the story asks whether connection can rewrite the roles we’re born to play. With a bold, character-driven style and an unapologetic approach to desire, this adult tale explores how vulnerability can transform instinct into something gentler.

3.5/5 stars. this was really cute and it was fun to see species appropriate anatomy for a sparrow and a snake. however there's an uncomfortable feeling the first half of the story as we aren't sure how old the MMCs are due to their immaturity and the, quite frankly, blatant sexual assault as the result of a anatomical exploration by the opposing species. but if you can get past that, it's very cute.
