Description
Reclusive antiquities expert Leo Drake—infamous as the “Mad Monk of Monkcrest”—is pulled from his carefully guarded solitude when Beatrice Poole, a scandalously freethinking author, demands his help. Searching for the legendary Forbidden Rings of Aphrodite, Beatrice suspects the mythic treasure may hold the key to her uncle’s death, and Leo soon finds himself drawn into her world of wit, danger, and stubborn determination. As their reluctant partnership turns into something far more combustible, a shadowy villain in London closes in, intent on ensuring that the rings—and the truth they unlock—arrive too late for anyone to survive. With this ring, Amanda Quick delivers a sparkling blend of historical romance and suspense, where desire, mystery, and the cost of uncovering forbidden power collide.
