Description

A seventh-grader named Pierre-Anthon, disillusioned by the perceived meaninglessness of existence, retreats to a tree, refusing to come down. To convince him otherwise, his classmates embark on a desperate mission, sacrificing items of personal significance in a dramatic attempt to prove life's inherent value. What begins with trivial possessions soon escalates into profound and disturbing acts, as the children grapple with their own beliefs and the escalating consequences of their quest. This thought-provoking novel explores profound themes of existentialism, the search for meaning, and the often-unsettling nature of adolescent conviction.
