Description

Rachel, a dedicated attorney and the quintessential good girl, finds her life unraveling when she succumbs to an irresistible temptation: an affair with Dexter, the fiancé of her lifelong best friend, Darcy. As the wedding day approaches, Rachel grapples with the devastating consequences of her actions, torn between her deep-seated loyalty and a passion she can no longer deny. This novel explores the complexities of friendship, love, and the difficult choices we make when our desires collide with our obligations, questioning whether some lines are meant to be crossed. Emily Giffin masterfully weaves a tale of betrayal and longing, leaving readers to ponder the true meaning of happiness and the price of forbidden love.

I loved this book!

This book had me hooked at chapter one! Verity is the spoiled Mafia daughter who is a party girl. Rufino is her father’s enemy. They meet on a dare at a night club and instantly hit it off.
Their forbidden relationship is put to the test for sure. I want this review to be spoiler free, so if you are into Mafia & forbidden romance with some spice, I would definitely recommend this one!
