Description
This compelling biography tells the story of Nicky Hopkins, the gifted and enigmatic pianist whose playing helped shape some of the most influential music of the 1960s and ’70s. From his work with the Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks to collaborations with leading rock artists, Hopkins was a remarkable musician whose contributions often unfolded just beyond the spotlight. Drawing on interviews, personal recollections, and the wider history of British rock, the book explores his artistry, friendships, health struggles, and complex relationship with fame. It is both a portrait of an extraordinary session musician and an illuminating account of the creative world he helped define.
