Description
In this candid, deeply personal memoir, the author traces his journey from childhood through college, recounting formative experiences with family, friendship, bullying, identity, and first love. Through a series of linked essays, he examines what it means to grow up Black and queer while navigating gender expectations, toxic masculinity, marginalization, and the search for belonging. Honest about pain yet grounded in tenderness and joy, the book offers both affirmation for queer youth of color and an accessible invitation for readers seeking to become stronger allies. Its emotionally direct style makes this a powerful work of testimony, resilience, and self-discovery.

I found the writing a little juvenile and the messaging didnt relate well to the stories. But it still shouldnt be banned!
