Description

When a quiet life is upended by an unexpected connection to the night sky, a woman finds herself drawn into a mystery that feels both intimate and cosmic. As clues surface and relationships shift, she must navigate the pull of longing, the weight of memory, and the choices that define who she becomes. Blending romance with suspenseful, atmospheric storytelling, the novel explores themes of fate versus agency, the stories we tell ourselves, and the ways wonder can transform fear into resolve. With Onley James’s lyrical, character-driven style, the book delivers a page-turning journey that’s as emotionally resonant as it is hauntingly beautiful.

this was exhausting. it had the same problems [b:Rogue|152665117|Rogue (Jericho's Boys, #2)|Onley James|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1683947463l/152665117._SY75_.jpg|167329290] did in that it spent a chunk of the narrative setting up 2 other couples who have books elsewhere in the series. this one also spent way more time on rehashing the same "he loves me he loves me not" rhetoric but with psychopathy to then NEVER actually solve it. brutal back and forth of repetitive sex scenes interspersed with a poorly mapped out criminal investigation. the high point was when jericho actually managed to be introspective enough to consider the psychological burden on atticus for being raised the way he was by an omnipresent do-no-wrong egomaniac human trafficker (aka father).
