Bar Code Tattoo

Suzanne Weyn

In a near-future society where personal identity is dictated by a mandatory bar code tattoo, a seventeen-year-old girl faces a stark choice on her birthday. When Kayla is informed that her grades disqualify her from a coveted art scholarship, her world takes a turn for the worse. Her refusal to accept the imposed identification marks her as an outcast, forcing her to confront the oppressive system and fight for her individuality. This gripping novel explores themes of conformity, rebellion, and the struggle to maintain one's identity in a technologically controlled world.
