Beautifully Broken

Courtney Cole

Pax Tate is a man haunted by a past he can't outrun, his life a chaotic blend of drugs, women, and a carefully constructed facade of indifference. Beneath the tattooed exterior and bad-boy attitude lies a deep well of unresolved grief and guilt stemming from his mother's death in childhood. His world is irrevocably altered by the arrival of Mila, a woman whose sweetness and light offer a stark contrast to his own darkness. As repressed memories resurface, Pax must confront his inner demons and decide if he can shed his destructive habits to allow love a chance, or if his past will ultimately drive away the one person who might save him.
