Black Diamonds

Lola Akinmade-Akerström

When a charismatic white tech executive recruits three accomplished Black women to work for his company in Sweden, their lives become unexpectedly intertwined. Each woman arrives with her own ambitions, history, and hopes for belonging, but soon confronts the subtle and overt barriers of race, class, culture, and power in a society that prides itself on equality. Moving between their perspectives, the novel explores identity, immigration, workplace dynamics, and the complicated search for home. Sharp, perceptive, and emotionally resonant, it offers a compelling portrait of modern Europe and the women determined to define themselves on their own terms.
