Bridgeport Bandits

Tessa Bailey

Britta has built a life she loves as a beloved waitress at Sluggers, the favorite gathering place of Bridgeport’s hockey team—and she has one firm rule: never date a hockey player. Sumner Mayfield, a fiercely talented defenseman on the verge of an NHL breakthrough, is desperate to remain in the United States when his work visa expires, leading to a New Year’s Eve marriage proposal neither of them expected. As a marriage of convenience brings these opposites closer, Britta and Sumner must navigate family ties, professional pressure, and the undeniable chemistry between them. With its blend of sports romance, heartfelt humor, and emotional vulnerability, the novel explores whether a relationship that begins as a practical arrangement can become something real.
