The Crayons

Drew Daywalt

When a box of crayons goes quiet, the colors don’t just wait—they write. In a series of playful notes, each crayon “comes home” with its own personality, complaints, and hopes, turning a simple art-time problem into a warm, imaginative story. With glow-in-the-dark pages that add a magical nighttime twist, this book celebrates creativity, individuality, and the joy of making things together. Perfect for early readers and read-alouds, it’s a bright, heartfelt take on friendship and belonging in the most colorful way possible.
