Forced into a life of captivity at fourteen by a ruthless drug lord in Mexico, Sarai has spent nine years dreaming of freedom. Her chance arrives in the form of Victor, a deadly assassin, who becomes her unexpected ticket out of the compound. However, escaping one dangerous man only leads her into the arms of another, as Victor, a killer since boyhood, finds his hardened heart unexpectedly moved by her plight. As they flee together, an undeniable attraction sparks between them, but Victor's dangerous world and the enemies they've made, including his own brother, threaten to consume them both. Sarai's survival may depend not on Victor's lethal skills, but on the very power she unknowingly wields over him.
