DS Alicia Friend

A.D. Davies

Detective Sergeant Alicia Friend is a brilliant criminal analyst whose compassion and decency seem out of place in the harsh world of major investigations. When two young women are kidnapped and murdered—and a third disappears under eerily similar circumstances—Alicia joins a northern police team racing to unravel the connection before time runs out. The latest victim’s father, Richard, launches his own investigation, drawing on a dangerous past and complicating the police effort even as Alicia becomes increasingly drawn to him. This atmospheric crime thriller explores obsession, secrecy, moral compromise, and the perilous boundary between justice and personal vengeance.
