Gideon Falls

Jeff Lemire, Andrea Sorrentino

In a decaying city, a troubled recluse searches through discarded objects for evidence of a vast conspiracy, while a disgraced Catholic priest arrives in a rural town haunted by its own unsettling secrets. Their separate investigations converge on the legend of the Black Barn, a mysterious structure said to appear across places and eras—and to leave death and madness behind. Blending psychological horror, supernatural mystery, and intricate character drama, the story explores obsession, isolation, faith, and the fragile boundaries of sanity. Atmospheric and visually striking, it launches a chilling series in which urban paranoia and small-town dread become part of the same dark puzzle.
