Thirteen-year-old Otto Malpense, a cunning orphan with a knack for elaborate schemes, is scouted for the prestigious Higher Institute of Villainous Education (H.I.V.E.). Transported to a secret island base within a volcano, Otto discovers he's among an elite group of gifted young individuals being trained as the next generation of supervillains. Alongside a martial arts prodigy, a master jewel thief, and a brilliant hacker, Otto uncovers the sinister truth: H.I.V.E. is a six-year program with no easy exits. Together, this unlikely team must devise a plan to escape the seemingly inescapable academy and thwart the institute's nefarious goals.
