I Am Still Alive

Kate Alice Marshall

After losing her mother and suffering a life-altering injury, sixteen-year-old Jess Cooper is sent to live with the father she barely knows in a remote Canadian wilderness. When tragedy leaves her stranded with only her father’s wolf-dog, Bo, Jess must draw on limited survival skills to find shelter, food, and a way through the unforgiving landscape. As she confronts grief, isolation, and the devastating truth behind her father’s death, survival becomes inseparable from the pursuit of justice. Tense and atmospheric, this gripping young adult novel explores resilience, disability, courage, and the strength required to reclaim one’s life.
