The music that changed my life

Dusty Baker

This lively memoir revisits a defining weekend in June 1967, when a young music lover traveled to California for the groundbreaking Monterey Pop Festival. Through vivid recollections, it captures the excitement of hearing iconic performers and witnessing Jimi Hendrix’s unforgettable guitar-burning performance. More than a concert reminiscence, the book explores the cultural energy of the 1960s, the transformative power of live music, and the lasting memories created by a once-in-a-lifetime gathering.
