Numbers

Rachel Ward

Jem carries a profound and terrifying secret: the moment she makes eye contact with anyone, a number appears in her mind, revealing the exact date of their death. This curse forces her into a life of isolation, pushing away anyone who might get close. Her carefully constructed solitude is shattered when she meets Spider, a fellow outcast who seems to understand her unique burden. Together, they navigate a world where foreknowledge of mortality forces them to confront the true meaning of life and connection.
