Oak Bluffs

Sunny Hostin

In the storied Black beach community of Oak Bluffs, three accomplished women reunite at the grand home of their longtime godmother for one final summer together. Esperanza “Perry” Soto, Olivia Jones, and Billie Hayden—each shaped by a different career, background, and vision for the future—soon find their lifelong bond tested when the house is promised to one of them. As old memories resurface and private ambitions collide, the women must reckon with questions of belonging, loyalty, family, and success. This richly atmospheric contemporary novel celebrates friendship and Black women’s lives while exploring the complicated ties between love, legacy, and home.
