Ralph Compton's Sundown Riders

Joseph A. West

Former big-city detective John McBride seeks a quiet life in the West, but his plans are shattered when he encounters a town terrorized by a ruthless sheriff. Ordered to stay out of trouble, McBride instead finds himself drawn into a dangerous fight for justice on behalf of the oppressed, where his detective’s instincts and steady aim make him a formidable adversary. With the unexpected help of a mysterious preacher, he must confront powerful enemies and expose the corruption gripping the community. A gritty Western of courage, tyranny, and the high cost of standing up for what is right.
