Saga of the Pliocene Exile

Julian May

In Julian May’s richly imagined prehistoric future, nearly 100,000 humans have escaped the controlled civilization of the Galactic Milieu through a one-way time gateway to Earth six million years in the past—only to find themselves caught in the power struggle of the alien Tanu and Firvulag. As human abilities and ambitions reshape the balance between these rival peoples, alliances become uncertain and the dream of freedom takes on a dangerous new meaning. Blending science fiction, fantasy, time travel, and intricate political intrigue, the novel explores power, identity, rebellion, and the consequences of trying to build a new society from the ruins of the old.
