Yrsa Sigurðardóttir

A luxury yacht drifts into Reykjavík harbour with no crew and no passengers—only silence, salt-stained evidence, and a young family now missing. As investigators piece together what happened, the story unfolds across two timelines: a shore-based search in Reykjavík and the doomed voyage itself, crossing from Lisbon toward an ending that feels impossible to explain. With its locked-ship tension and chilling sense of inevitability, this is a mystery driven by secrets, human vulnerability, and the thin line between calm and catastrophe. From the queen of Nordic Noir, Yrsa Sigurdardottir delivers a suspenseful, atmospheric crime novel that turns the sea into both witness and accomplice.
