The Texas Pan American series

Juan Carlos Onetti

A reflective collection that gathers farewells and the tales they leave behind, this work moves through shifting voices and remembered moments to explore what it means to say goodbye—and what lingers afterward. Across interconnected stories, characters confront loss, desire, and the private myths we build to survive, revealing how memory can both console and distort. With Onetti’s signature blend of lyrical realism and quietly unsettling introspection, the book treats everyday lives as stages for moral ambiguity and emotional consequence. More than a set of standalone narratives, it reads like a conversation between themes and worlds, inviting readers to trace how endings reshape identity.
