A Thomas Austin Crime Thriller

D. D. Black

Retired NYPD detective Thomas Austin has traded crime scenes for a quiet café in a Pacific Northwest beach town, where he is still grieving the murder of his wife. When a bag of human bones washes ashore, the discovery draws him into an investigation that eerily echoes the case that once defined his career: the capture of the notorious Holiday Baby Butcher. As Austin follows a trail of unsettling clues, he must confront the possibility that a copycat killer is at work—and that the past he tried to escape may be closer than he imagined. A tense, atmospheric mystery, the novel explores grief, obsession, and the dangerous persistence of old horrors.
