When his archaeologist father vanishes without a trace, 14-year-old Will Burrows is driven to uncover the truth, a quest that leads him to a hidden, subterranean society. This long-lost civilization, known as the Colony, has remained untouched for a century, but its existence is far from idyllic. Ruled by the tyrannical Styx, the Colony harbors dark secrets and a rigid social hierarchy that Will must navigate. As he searches for his father, Will finds himself entangled in a dangerous struggle for freedom, potentially igniting a revolution against the oppressive regime.
