Kelly Elliott

Ellie Johnson has spent eighteen years believing she is unlovable, a conviction reinforced by years of verbal abuse. Her sole focus is escaping her past through academics and a new life at the University of Texas. However, her carefully constructed world is upended when she unexpectedly falls for Gunner Mathews, her brother's best friend and a star college athlete. Gunner, whose life has revolved around football and his family's ranch, finds himself captivated by Ellie and determined to prove he's the one she's always wanted. As Gunner pursues her with unwavering passion, Ellie's deep-seated fears threaten to push him away, creating a delicate dance between his persistence and her struggle to trust. This is a story about overcoming past trauma to embrace a love that might be their only true desire.
