Amanda Skenandore

Amanda Skenandore's novels are historical fiction with a strong thread of social history. Nurse's Secret follows a pickpocket in Gilded Age New York who takes on a nurse's identity at Bellevue Hospital and has to keep that secret from unraveling. The Medicine Woman of Galveston, The Second Life of Mirielle West and Undertaker's Assistant sit alongside it in the same historical vein.
