Kathy Reichs

Kathy Reichs writes the Temperance Brennan mysteries, following a forensic anthropologist whose career closely mirrors her own. Her first novel, Déjà Dead, won the 1997 Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel, and 206 Bones and Bones to Ashes are among the later entries in the series. Reichs is also a professor emerita of anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and with her son Brendan she co-wrote the Virals young adult series. Her work inspired the television series Bones.
