Rafia Zakaria

Rafia Zakaria is a Pakistani-American attorney, feminist, journalist, and author. She is a columnist for Dawn and has written for The Nation, The New Republic, The Baffler, Boston Review, and Al Jazeera. Her 2021 book Against White Feminism argues that conventional feminist thought centers the experiences of white women while leaving out women of color. The Upstairs Wife blends memoir and history to follow Pakistan's upheavals through the women of one family.
