Rich Shapero is an American venture capitalist and author of the novels Wild Animus and Beneath Caaqi's Wings. After a career in computing, he joined Crosspoint Venture Partners in 1993 and was recognized for his investments in broadband and internet companies. He self-published Wild Animus in 2004, spending more than $450,000 to promote it, and has continued that model for later novels.
