Richard Russo is an American novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter who also teaches. He is known for realistic portraits of rural, small-town life in the Northeastern United States, particularly Maine, Pennsylvania, and upstate New York. His novel Empire Falls won the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction in 2002, and Russo's Sully books begin with Nobody's Fool, with Everybody's Fool following in the North Bath series.
