Shari Lapena

Shari Lapena is a Canadian novelist who came to fiction after years as a lawyer and English teacher. Her debut, Things Go Flying, appeared in 2008 and was shortlisted for the Sunburst Award, and her second novel, Happiness Economics, was a Stephen Leacock Award finalist. She is best known for The Couple Next Door, a 2016 thriller about a missing infant during a dinner party next door, and she followed it with further thrillers including An Unwanted Guest and Getting Away with Murder.
