Sheila Heen is an American author, educator and public speaker whose books center on difficult conversations. She co-wrote Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most with Douglas Stone and Bruce Patton, and Thanks for the Feedback: The Science and Art of Receiving Feedback Well with Douglas Stone, both New York Times best sellers. At Harvard Law School, where she is the Thaddeus R. Beal Professor of Practice, she teaches negotiation and conflict management and is a member of the Harvard Negotiation Project.
