Steven Pressfield

Steven Pressfield is an American author of historical fiction, nonfiction, and screenplays, best known for the 1995 novel The Legend of Bagger Vance and the 2002 nonfiction book The War of Art. His novels set in the ancient world include Gates of Fire, which follows the Spartans' stand at Thermopylae through the eyes of a young squire, and Tides of War. He has also written Turning Pro and Do the Work, nonfiction about getting serious work done.
